Drop-Off Sites

All Drop-Off Sites accept household trash and recycling.   Everyone who uses NWSWD Drop-off Sites for trash and recycling are charged a $1.00 user fee.

You can pick up BLUE BINS for recycling at a cost of $2.00 each.  Call with questions.

Drop-off Sites accept a range of materials for recycling
Procedure at site is very simple
Recycling is separated by material type:
There are 5 categories that NWSWD requires recyclables being separated into at each site:
Cardboard       Paper                 Metal
Plastic            Glass
     
There is no charge for Recycling. A list of recyclable items may be found here.   
Without recycling there is a $1.00 extra fee per bag of trash. 
Payment methods - Cash or Check only , No credit /debit cards at this time.  Thank you.
Check each site for accepted items. 
Georgia and North Hero accept Bulky trash. 
You can also bring Hazardous Waste and Bulky items to one of our Special Collections held thru-out the collection season.

          Both the fees and accepted items may vary at the transfer stations.

          Located on 362 West Shore Road
          Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (May - Oct) Spring/Summer

          Saturday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (Oct - May) Fall/Winter
          In addition to trash and recycling, metal,tires,freon devices

          and large items are accepted on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

          Located on 10 Dump Road.
          Wednesday  7:00 am to 5:00 pm        
          Saturday     7:00 am to 5:00 pm
          Sunday       8:00 am to 4:00 pm
          In addition to trash and recycling, this station accepts scrap metal,

          larger items, and propane tanks.

          Located on 1 Transfer Station Road.

          This is privately owned and operated by Casella Waste Management, Inc. 

          Go east on Rt 78 about 3.1 miles from Exit 21 I-89  

          Accepts larger items and construction debris.
