Special Trash Collections

Special Trash Collections are for the proper disposal of large, bulky items including appliances, scrap metal and old tires. They are open to all residents of our member towns. Proof of residency is required.

April 24 - Georgia NWSWD Facility

 

May  1- Fletcher Old Town Garage

 

May 15 - Swanton Town Garage

 

June 5 -  Fairfield Town Garage

 

June 12 - Grand Isle Transfer Station

 

June 26 - St. Albans City Garage

 

August 7 - Montgomery Town Garage

 

August 28 - Isle la Motte Town Garage

 

September 11 - Enosburg Village Garage

 

September 25 - Georgia NWSWD Facility

 

 

 

NWSWD will not be accepting construction waste such as flooring, drywall or roofing material, yard waste or regular household trash at Special Collections. To dispose of construction debris, please contact a waste hauler or the Highgate Transfer Station.

 

Fees for Special Collections

Tires

$4.00 per passenger car tire for 13-17 inch tires

$6.00 per pickup tire 17+ inches

$10.00 per large truck tire, semi and trailer tires

Minimum of $22.00 for tractor and other equipment tires. Actual fee varies according to size.

All tires on rims are an additional $5.00

Furniture and Other Large Bulky Items

Small Items: $10.00 for a car or truck load.

Couches and Chairs: $10/small item, $15/medium, $20/large

Mattresses and Box Springs: $5/twin, $10/double, $15/queen, $20/king 

 

Please consider donating reusable items for reuse, or bring them to our annual Spring Drop and Swap. Contact our office for details.

Refrigerators, Freezers, and Air Conditioners

$20.00 per item.

Appliances

Metal appliances are accepted free of charge. Computers and electronics can be brought to our office for a small fee.

Scrap Metal

Scrap metal is accepted free of charge.

Televisions
19” and under $8 each
20”-27” $16 each
28” and up/consoles $30 each
