Do you need some extra money?  Do you enjoy interacting witht he public and meeting new people?  The NWSWD accepts applications on an ongoing basis for positions as drop-off site attendants and will notify applicants when possitions become available.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Attendant will open and close site weekly, collect fees from residents for  

WORK SCHEDULE:  Site is open Saturday's 8:00 to 1:00 
LOCATION:  Montgomery, St. Albans, North Hero, Bakersfield, Fletcher

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED 

• All aspects of drop-off center operations including customer interactions and management of incoming materials
• Estimating customer loads of trash and recyclables
• Processing customer transactions via cash register
• Weekly proceeds remitted to District Office by mail on Mondays.
• Maintaining a clean and safe facility on the busiest day of service
• Communicating with roll-off truck driver about container needs
  

REQUIRED SKILLS AND DESIRED ABILITIES

• Good customer service skills

• Cash register experience preferred
• Ability to maintain record keeping system
• Familiarity with what's recyclable and what's not
• Good communication skills
• Moderate to strenuous physical effort required
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (Some clothing and cold weather gear provided)
